Accounts Payable Lead

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to oversee the full-cycle AP function for a global organization, including U.S. headquarters and international subsidiaries. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and close activities while maintaining strong internal controls and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice & Payment Processing

• Process invoices and payments across multiple entities, ensuring proper approvals are obtained
• Manage weekly payment cycles in alignment with payment terms and cash flow priorities
• Execute ACH and wire transactions accurately and on schedule through banking platforms

Vendor Management

• Oversee end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, maintenance, and updates
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, disputes, and payment status
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, including W-9 collection and 1099 documentation

Expense & Credit Card Management

• Review and analyze expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance
• Manage corporate credit card activity and prepare related journal entries
• Process employee reimbursements on a weekly basis

Month-End Close & Reconciliation

• Support month-end close by preparing AP-related journal entries
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in coordination with the accounting team

Commissions

• Process monthly commissions for sales representatives with a high level of accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3–5 years of accounts payable or related experience
• CPA candidacy or additional accounting coursework is a plus

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS)
• Experience with ERP systems and general ledger processes
• Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms preferred

Preferred Background

• Experience in consumer goods or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environments
