Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will:

• Assist primary care providers in identifying, treating, and managing various mental health and psychosocial issues, contributing to a well-rounded primary care team.

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic evaluations and functional assessments to inform necessary treatment plans.

• Provide brief, targeted interventions tailored to patients in need of mental health services, ensuring they receive the right level of care.

• Offer expert advice to primary care providers regarding patients who may benefit from specialty mental health services versus those suitable for the primary care setting.

• Initiate follow-ups with patients to monitor their progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

• Develop relapse prevention plans and assist patients in maintaining stability in their functioning.

• Identify at-risk patients and collaborate on preventative strategies to improve their mental health.

• Coordinate healthcare delivery among different treatment providers while respecting patients' confidentiality and preferences.

• Maintain thorough documentation of patient progress in treatment charts to ensure transparent communication with primary care providers.

• Promote healthier lifestyle choices for patients, using behavioral change strategies to enhance their overall well-being.

• Support patients in adhering to their medical treatment plans, including strategies for coping with any medication side effects.

• Provide insights and consultations to clinic management and team members regarding behavioral health services and program evaluation.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• A current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
