This job listing is for the undergraduate students who have been elected or appointed to serve in the Regis University Student Government Association (RUSGA) for the 20262027 academic year. The Regis University Student Government Association (RUSGA) Executive Cabinet and Extended Cabinet are department-funded student employees within the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL). Each position will be hired and paid in accordance with Regis University and applicable state and federal employment policies. Work hours and scheduling will be determined based on the expectations of each position, the needs of RUSGA, and available department funding.Executive and Extended Cabinet members eligible for department-funded hours include the President, Vice President of Representation, Vice President of Social Justice and Diversity, Vice President of Involvement, Vice President of Academic Life, Chief of Staff, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Marketing and Information Technology, and Director of Sustainability.

RUSGA Executive and Extended Cabinet members are expected to:

• Fulfill the responsibilities and expectations outlined in their individual RUSGA position description.
• Complete tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Student Body President, Vice Presidents, Chief of Staff, and RUSGA advisors, as appropriate to their role.
• Attend and actively participate in all required RUSGA meetings, retreats, trainings, leadership development opportunities, and other scheduled commitments.
• Maintain regular communication with RUSGA leadership, advisors, university departments, and other campus partners.
• Respond to emails, messages, and other forms of communication in a timely and professional manner.
• Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, reliability, and engagement in their work with RUSGA and the Regis University community.
• Work collaboratively with other RUSGA Executive and Extended Cabinet members to advance the goals, initiatives, and priorities of RUSGA.
• Represent Regis University, the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership, and RUSGA in a positive, professional, and respectful manner at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgment when handling student concerns, organizational matters, and other sensitive information.
• Follow all Regis University policies, procedures, student employment expectations, and RUSGA governing documents.
• Communicate proactively with RUSGA advisors regarding questions, concerns, challenges, or changes that may affect their ability to fulfill their responsibilities.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and engaged campus community by supporting the needs and interests of the Regis University student body.
• Participate in required beginning-of-year and ongoing leadership development opportunities, including RUSGA training and leadership retreats.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned based on the needs of RUSGA and the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership.

WORK HOURS AND EMPLOYMENT EXPECTATIONS

RUSGA Executive and Extended Cabinet members are student employees and are expected to balance their RUSGA responsibilities with their academic commitments.

• Executive Cabinet members may work up to 10 hours per week during the academic year.
• Extended Cabinet members may work up to 6 hours per week during the academic year.

These hours are intended to provide time for members to complete the responsibilities outlined in their individual position descriptions, attend required RUSGA meetings and events, and contribute to the ongoing work and priorities of RUSGA. Members are not required to work a set number of hours each week but should use their available hours appropriately to support the responsibilities of their position. Members are expected not to exceed their designated weekly hours without prior approval from their RUSGA advisor. If a member anticipates that a project, event, or other responsibility will require them to exceed their weekly hours, they should communicate with their advisor in advance.

Student employees are expected to accurately record their hours worked and follow all University requirements related to student employment and timekeeping.

PROFESSIONALISM AND REPRESENTATION

As student leaders and representatives of the Regis University student body, RUSGA Executive and Extended Cabinet members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on Regis University, RUSGA, and the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership.

Members should demonstrate:

• Professional and respectful communication.
• Dependability and accountability.
• Initiative and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities.
• Respect for diverse perspectives and experiences.
• Commitment to collaboration and shared governance.
• A willingness to listen to and advocate for the Regis University student body.
• Appropriate judgment when representing RUSGA and Regis University.

RUSGA members are expected to seek support from their advisors when navigating situations that fall outside the scope of their position or when they are unsure how to proceed.

This position is benefits-eligible for workers' compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
