Key Responsibilities\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapists at Joyful Journeys serve a diverse patient population, addressing various mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Our practice prioritizes cultural competence and sensitivity, ensuring that our therapeutic approaches are tailored to the unique backgrounds, needs, and circumstances of each individual client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.

• Exceptional skills in performing mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment strategies.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy to clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster rapport and trust with clients.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, exhibit sound judgment, and adhere to ethical standards.

• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital applications necessary for telehealth delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with substantial backgrounds in providing telehealth services or experience with evidence-based group facilitation will be strongly considered. Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities such as DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) or trauma-informed care will also be advantageous.
