We have an exciting opportunity within our Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit for a Senior Manager, Contracts. We are seeking an experienced dynamic and results-driven person to develop contract strategy and execute within the Space, Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance (SISR) Sub-strategic Business Unit (SSBU). While owning contract management/administration actions on proposals and contracts across the acquisition life cycle for US Government Defense and Intelligence contracts, the candidate will also experience developing and managing new commercial business. This position will be for an individual contributor role supporting program area directors and is well suited for a highly motivated, well-organized person who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. This position will report directly to the Associate Director, Contracts and will need to collaborate closely with program management and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities will include supporting program execution, leading key pursuits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing contractual guidance, developing Intellectual Property strategies and novel contracting approaches, as well as developing creative approaches to solving problems and creating innovative solutions while employing strong change management and communication skills. Will also participate in the development and growth of commercial opportunities, products and contracts. What You Will Do Manage the development of both commercial type and government type proposals, negotiations, development of commercial terms and licenses, contractual agreements, contract execution, and day-to-day administration as well as provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and risk mitigation Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for working contractual matters to resolution while leveraging excellent relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization, and provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and risk mitigation Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Experience with U.S. Government and/or Defense related Contracts Management/Administration Experience with contracts under acquisition regulations such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clauses or other customer supplementals Experience with U.S. Government acquisitions and/or proposals, which may include sole-source and competitive proposal activity Qualifications We Prefer Confident, self-starter with positive energy who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative work environment Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership teams Critical thinker with strong risk assessment skills and the ability to deliver timely solutions, measure the success of those deliverables and quickly shift strategies to create the strongest desirable outcome for the business Passion for engaging in new and innovative business opportunities with an ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, pivot and act with a sense of urgency Prior experience with commercial contracts including the development of special commercial terms and conditions and development & management of intellectual property rights What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
