Job Description Job Description Phoenix Insurance defense law firm seeking a Legal Assistant / Paralegal with 1+ [recent] years experience as a paralegal and either a college degree. or paralegal certificate to become a part of our team. Responsibilities: * Calendaring in Outlook - deadlines, reminders, and court events per civil procedure requirements. * Phone communication with attorneys, clerks of the court, record keepers, doctors and others. * Use Google, Chatgpt, court websites, and other sources for research and information gathering. * Learn and apply court formatting. * Drafting and reviewing of legal documents. * Assist and help with client interviews and investigative fact finding to help in case resolution and discovery. * Monitor and ensure compliance with state rules as applied to pleading, discovery, and hearings. * Develop a professional bond with attorney to ensure case success. Qualifications: * Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal. * Working understanding of legal and court terms. * Great analytical skills * Great knowledge of Word, formatting, spelling, grammar. * Good knowledge of Excel, spreadsheets analysis. * Good knowledge of Adobe - edit, bate stamp, combining files, export. * A wonderful professional and friendly phone presence. * Ability to prioritize and multitask and to work cooperatively with the attorney to understand and implement both skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills (grammar, word choice, formatting) * A drive for quality, production, and meeting deadlines.
