About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join our client, a growing staffing and recruiting organization.

This is a new-business-focused sales role for someone who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, meeting with business leaders, and helping companies solve their workforce needs.

The ideal candidate is confident, persistent, organized, and motivated by results. You'll be responsible for developing a territory, generating new client relationships, identifying hiring needs, and partnering with an internal recruiting team to turn opportunities into successful placements.

What You'll Do

• Prospect for new business through phone calls, email, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
• Build relationships with business owners, executives, hiring managers, and other decision-makers.
• Identify and qualify companies with staffing and workforce needs.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand client requirements, timelines, and challenges.
• Present staffing solutions and develop new client accounts.
• Manage a pipeline of prospective and existing clients through consistent follow-up.
• Develop and execute a territory plan focused on high-potential opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and next steps within the company's CRM.
• Partner with internal recruiting and staffing teams to transition new business opportunities into active job orders.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for continued growth.
• Participate in local networking and community activities to build relationships and generate leads.

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of experience in sales, business development, staffing, recruiting, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable speaking with business owners, executives, and hiring managers.
• Self-motivated and persistent with a strong sense of urgency.
• Organized and able to manage multiple prospects and opportunities.
• Comfortable with outbound prospecting and in-person business development.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an internal team.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
