About the Position

Job Title

Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties in a high-volume operating room environment, including vascular (open and endovascular) and plastics cases such as DIEP flaps
• Support Level 1 trauma surgical cases and specialty team procedures including cardiac, thoracic, vascular, neuro, and orthopedic services
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in the OR, utilizing equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and the Intuitive Robotic system
• Document accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call obligations , including overnight trauma call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and specialty team call as scheduled; weekend call coverage per rotation, averaging 1 in 5 weekends

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience
• Level 1 trauma OR experience
• Open vascular surgical experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in plastics (including DIEP flaps) and endovascular cases strongly preferred
• Background in General, GU/GYN, Orthopedic trauma, Orthopedic joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Dental, or Endovascular surgery
• Flexible, accountable, punctual, and team-oriented work style
