Member Services Representative

As a YMCA Member Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for current and prospective members. You will provide excellent customer service, assist with membership inquiries, and support various administrative tasks to ensure a positive member experience. Key responsibilities include: Greeting and welcoming members, guests, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Providing information about YMCA programs, services, and membership options. Assisting members with inquiries, registration, and resolving issues. Promoting YMCA membership benefits and programs to prospective members. Conducting membership tours and orientation sessions. Assisting with membership sales and renewals. Processing membership applications, cancellations, and changes. Handling cash transactions, including membership fees and program payments. Maintaining accurate records and member information in the database. Ensuring the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming. Monitoring access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized members and guests enter. Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate staff. Working collaboratively with other YMCA staff to support overall member experience. Participating in team meetings and contributing to improving member services. Assisting with special events and community outreach as needed.

Qualifications: Must be minimum 16 years of age. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment). Previous customer service experience preferred. Experience working in a community-focused organization or membership-based facility preferred.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with professionalism. Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with member management software. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
