A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join their expanding site in Dublin, OH. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to work within a specialized environment focused on controlled substances and long-term care patients, providing a rewarding and impactful professional experience.


Location:

• Dublin, OH

Schedule:

• 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday
• Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and evaluate controlled drug (narcotic) medication orders for appropriateness, dosage accuracy, drug interactions, and proper administration.
• Collaborate with physicians and client facility staff by making therapy recommendations when necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive customer databases that include medical history, clinical data, and laboratory results.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members concerning medication queries.
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of medications while ensuring compliance with legal and stock control regulations for controlled substances.
• Maintain security protocols for medication storage.
• Provide "on-call" support as needed to meet patient and facility needs.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacist license (must have license in-hand)
• Proven experience with controlled drugs (narcotics) handling and regulations
• Strong clinical and communication skills tailored to long-term care settings
• Familiarity with pharmacy frameworks and database management systems
