Long Term Care Staff Pharmacist IV Certified in Dublin, OH

An exciting opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists to join a growing Long Term Care pharmacy specializing in closed-door specialty services. The site is expanding its operations and seeks both an IV Lead Pharmacist and an IV Staff Pharmacist to deliver expert pharmaceutical care within a dedicated team.

Licensure: Ohio Pharmacist License required (in-hand)
Start Date: ASAP


Schedule:

• IV Lead Pharmacist: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, flexible between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• IV Staff Pharmacist: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, flexible between 4:30 PM - 12:00 AM or 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders, ensuring appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and administration methods.
• Handle controlled substances (narcotics) with expertise, maintaining accurate registers and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide recommendations for therapy modifications to physicians and facility staff as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive patient databases with medical, clinical, and laboratory information.
• Address and resolve medication-related queries promptly in collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare teams.
• Supervise medication preparation processes to guarantee accuracy and safety.
• Support medication security measures and maintain proper storage conditions.
• Fulfill on-call pharmacist duties as required.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Ohio Pharmacist License (mandatory).
• IV certification and demonstrated skill managing IV medication therapies.
• Prior experience within Long Term Care pharmacy environments highly preferred.
• Proficient with pharmacy management systems, particularly Frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This direct hire role offers competitive hourly pay in the range of $60.00 to $65.00 depending on experience, making it an attractive position for qualified candidates looking to advance their career in a stable and supportive setting.
