Valet - Residences at The Little Nell - WinterThe Valet will provide prompt and courteous valet parking service to all hotel guests and assist Bellperson as needed. This position reports to the Guest Services Manager.Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities:Park and deliver vehicles to and from the garage basement promptly, efficiently, and safelyDrive in a safe and responsible manner at all timeResponsible for returning the guest vehicle in the same condition as it was left, i.e. seats, radio and mirrors in the same positionResponsible for locking the car and returning the keys with properly marked tags to lock the box.Cars that cannot be locked properly should be noted on the valet ticketResponsible for completing tickets according to protocol, including inspecting the outside of the car and writing down any obvious damageReport damages to a guest's car immediately to the Guest Services Manager or Manager on Duty, completing incident reports immediatelyAssist guests with vehicle problems or direct them to the concierge for assistanceKeep valet area clean and orderly at all timesAssist at the front door at the Doorperson/Bellperson's requestAssist with the collection of monies for hourly parkingReconciliation of vehicles for overnight parkingOther duties as assignedEducation & Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentCurrent Driver's License, with no violationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Familiarity with hotel fire and safety proceduresFamiliar with hotel services, hours of operationKnowledge of daily functions, locations and times to assist guests with inquiriesExcellent communication & guest relations skillsExcellent time management skillsAbility to comply with all policies and procedures for the Rooms Division, The Little Nell and Aspen OneAbility to assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by managementAbility to complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demandAbility to be a team playerAbility to drive a stick shift carWork Environment & Physical Demands:Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, see, hear, sit, drive a shuttle/car for extended periods of time; squat, kneel and bendRegularly work/drive in adverse weather conditions. Frequently drive in bright sunlight and at night.
