Litigation Paralegal

Summary A law firm is seeking a highly organized Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling personal injury, civil litigation, commercial litigation, and employment matters across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut courts. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including briefs, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas under attorney supervision. Organize and maintain case files, discovery materials, and evidence. Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, medical bills, and other case-related documents. Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, witnesses, and experts. Electronically file documents in state and federal courts using E-Courts and PACER. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, client communications, and case strategy. Prepare settlement packages, trial binders, and exhibits for hearings and trials. Track and report billable hours and assist with invoicing as needed. Provide general litigation support and assist with other case-related tasks. Work overtime when necessary to meet deadlines or court requirements. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant supporting complex litigation matters. Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with legal document management, billing, or practice management systems preferred. Knowledge of state and federal court e-filing systems. Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional demeanor and strong client-facing skills.
