Position Summary \n
\nThe Psychiatrist will provide part-time on-site psychiatric services for an adult male population in a secure behavioral health setting. This role includes diagnostic evaluation, medication management, treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary clinical teams. The position offers flexible daytime scheduling, no on-call duties, and potential for long-term placement.\n

Key Responsibilities \n
\n•    Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.\n
\n•    Manage medication regimens and monitor treatment effectiveness.\n
\n•    Document all clinical services in an electronic health record (EHR).\n
\n•    Perform mental health examinations and prepare clinical reports.\n
\n•    Order and interpret diagnostic testing as needed.\n
\n•    Refer patients to specialized care when appropriate.\n
\n•    Deliver care consistent with professional standards, clinical protocols, and scope of practice.\n
\n•    Participate in quality improvement activities, including peer review.\n
\n•    Engage in collaborative clinical agreements when required.\n

Qualifications \n
\n•    Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license.\n
\n•    Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry.\n
\n•    DEA certification (required prior to starting).\n
\n•    Experience in secure, correctional, or forensic settings preferred but not required.\n
\n
Workload & Expectations \n
\n•    On-site work between 16–24 hours per week.\n
\n•    No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.\n
\n•    Caseload expectation: 12–16 patients per 8-hour shift.\n
\n•    Flexibility within daytime operating hours.\n
\n•    Assignment may be extended or convert to permanent placement.\n
\n•    Phone interview and on-site tour required.
