Payroll Coordinator

We’re looking for a detail-driven Payroll Coordinator to keep our Carbon Division running smoothly behind the scenes. What You’ll Do Owning payroll operations – maintaining weekly and biweekly payroll, processing changes for new hires, transfers, terminations, and leaves of absence. Making it right for employees – explaining paychecks, solving payroll challenges, and providing top-notch customer service. Handling pay deductions – calculating and posting taxes, benefits, and voluntary deductions. Keeping records straight – maintaining confidential files, completing employment verifications, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Partnering with supervisors – communicating payroll updates, reports, and audits to keep everything accurate and on track. Supporting HR projects – assisting with special projects and lending administrative support across the department. What You Bring A high level of motivation, flexibility, and eagerness to learn. Strong ability to multi-task while keeping attention to detail. Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent organizational and time-management skills - able to meet deadlines under pressure. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interact with employees and supervisors. The ability to work independently as well as on a team. Absolute commitment to confidentiality and integrity. Comfort using a variety of office tools (fax, copier, email, calendar systems). Education & Experience Associate’s degree in Business Administration (or related field) preferred. 1+ years of experience processing payroll required. Experience with Workday software is a plus.
