ACCOUNTANT II

Corporate Office – Lease Management San Antonio, TX Zachry Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform the functions of Lease Accounting within the Fixed Asset Team. Highly organized, an ability to manage multiple projects within set deadlines, ability to meet month-end close deadlines, and ensure the smooth operation of Lease Accounting. Ability to build on-going cooperation with other departments and a range of internal and external stakeholders will be essential in the success of this role. Responsibilities Oversight on all aspects of New Lease Accounting (ASC 842) Solid understanding and application of the new lease accounting criteria Strong knowledge in identification of embedded leases Review initial lease assessment for new leases Review proper treatment for the leases (finance vs. operating) Review the individual lease checklist against the sub-ledger Review lease sub-ledger vs. general ledger roll-forward Record transactions and provide an auditable accounting trail Share point and JLL - Ensure all leases are accounted for on a frequent basis Communication – Contact lease owners of any missing information Master Summary – Update report with new and retired leases Arms report - Update report with new and retired leases Perform journal entries Scan documents and file in shared drive Other duties, as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the Accounting field Proficient in researching on the internet Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Values ethics, professionalism, and maintains confidentiality Time Management Preferred Qualifications Asset accounting experience General knowledge of, or experience working in, the Industrial Construction industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will work in a general office environment. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less.
