Work Environment\n

This position is conducted entirely remotely, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you have the tools necessary to deliver exceptional care to our clients. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, facilitating community engagement and clinical discussions within a supportive and innovative virtual workspace.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside qualified birth workers, offering valuable insights and guidance to participants.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting holistic wellness and building supportive networks among birthing individuals and their families.
\n
• Participate in clinical consultations and multidisciplinary co-learning spaces to enhance professional development and collaborative practice.
\n
• Complete all clinical documentation accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring high-quality record-keeping.
\n
• Provide direct behavioral health services, including thorough assessments, individual counseling, and ongoing case management tailored to the unique needs of Black birthing families.
\n
• Collaborate with prenatal care team members—such as medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants—to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for all clients.
\n
• Take on additional responsibilities as required, ensuring flexibility in meeting the evolving needs of the clinical team and the families we serve.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting Black birthing families navigating the childbirth and postpartum experiences. You will work empathetically to address their mental health needs and champion holistic approaches to wellness, ensuring they feel supported and understood throughout their journey.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is required.

• A master’s degree in a behavioral science or a closely related field from an accredited institution is essential.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse, multicultural clients and colleagues across various disciplines.

• The capability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote environment, demonstrating initiative and seeking assistance as needed.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in maternal mental health, particularly familiar with the unique challenges faced by birthing individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.

• A background in community engagement or outreach programs aimed at supporting mental health within family-oriented services.
