Assistant Project Manager

Job Description: The Assistant Project Manageris responsibleforthe successful design, execution, monitoring,controllingand management of specific construction project deliverables.Working in support of Project Managers to complete assigned construction scopes and project team including Project Coordinators,Engineersand field team.Ensure project deliverables and specifics align with and support engineering,quality,and control requirements. Perks & Benefits: Competitive payand a Comprehensive Benefit Package Health Saving Account, Flexible Saving Account, Employee Assistance Program Annual Education Allowance Generous Referral Program Fun and collaborative company culture with lots of team-building events Friends and Family rates for Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, The Opus Hotel and The Emily Hotel What You Will Do: Support in the estimate and finalization of budgets and contract price Negotiate,closeand manage cost-effective subcontract and materialpurchases Developing, tracking, andmaintainingprojectschedules; Study job specifications to determineappropriate constructionmethods and ensure progress aligns with those methods andtiming; Reviewing critical path, and quickly adapting or accelerating projects to meetdeadlines; Reporting, and updating stakeholders of projectschedule; Complete required tendering process and oversee contractadministrator; Assistin the overall planning and defining of project scope for all subcontractors, andemployees; Project resource allocation and relationship management of assigned internal and externalresources; Regular project documentation,communicationandreporting; Cost estimating, and budget development in collaboration withstakeholders; Effective identification and management of Engineering controls to ensure optimization andefficiency; Proactively manage changes in project scope,identifypotential issues, and devise contingency plans ifrequired; Ensure project is built on budget, on schedule and on drawingspecifications; Prepare,adjustand complete job close out procedures. What You Bring: 3+ years of experience as Project Engineer Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, ArchitecturalDesignor related field an asset or equivalent foreign degree or education and experience Direct work experience in a project coordination capacity, including all aspects of process development andexecution Experience overseeing multi-familyprojects Project Management education an asset Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000 About The Company: Onni For over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
