Key Responsibilities

• Direct, guide, and coordinate physical therapy treatment focused on pain relief, mobility restoration, and functional independence, in accordance with established care plans.
• Evaluate each client's functional capabilities through precise assessments, including diagnostic tests that measure muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional abilities.
• Implement interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and apply physical agents like traction and massage to alleviate symptoms, supported by physician prescriptions.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in treatment delivery, ensuring adherence to established protocols and the efficacy of care implemented.
• Participate actively in developing and revising individualized care plans, maintaining accurate clinical records, and reporting on client progress to physicians and Case Managers.
• Conduct comprehensive home assessments to recommend modifications that enhance clients' independence in their environments.
• Educate clients and their families on rehabilitation processes and the effective use of assistive devices, guiding them toward an empowered role in their recovery journey.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, sharing insights and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance client outcomes.
• Demonstrate a commitment to regulatory compliance by adhering to federal, state, and clinical documentation standards.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks, ensuring timely submission of clinical orders and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center will work primarily with adult and geriatric patients recovering from various conditions, such as post-operative rehabilitation, neurological disorders, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid Physical Therapy license in the State of New Jersey.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a clinical setting, preferably in rehabilitation or home healthcare.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication and engagement skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
