Work Environment

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist in our rehabilitation center, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team composed of fellow therapists, rehabilitation specialists, and support staff. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to ascertain each client's functional capabilities and devise personalized rehabilitation strategies.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective delivery of care as per the established plan of care.
• Administer various therapeutic techniques including manual exercises, traction, and electrotherapy while ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend prosthetic and orthotic devices based on patient needs, fitting and making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, as per regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences to integrate therapeutic services with medical guidance and promote holistic care.
• Educate clients and their families regarding the physical therapy process and empower them in their rehabilitation journey.
• Ensure compliance with workplace policies and timely submission of documentation for both clinical and payroll purposes.
• Regularly assess the clinical environment and make recommendations for improvements to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Our clients often require personalized rehabilitation strategies tailored to their unique goals and capabilities. Building rapport and trust with clients is essential to facilitate progress and motivate them throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey, maintained in good standing.
• One year of practical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong understanding and application of federal and state regulations regarding physical therapy practice.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient clinic focusing on diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

This Full-Time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
