Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests across multiple specialties. Ensures accurate and timely results, maintains laboratory instruments, and adheres to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
Perform a variety of tests across blood bank, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology as needed.
Resolve complex issues such as antibody problems, ABO discrepancies, and transfusion reactions in Blood Bank.
Record all test results, quality control data, and instrument maintenance activities accurately.
Process specimens efficiently and perform clerical functions related to laboratory testing.
Work effectively under pressure, completing STAT tests within required time frames.

Qualifications:

Hold a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license and have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Possess hospital and/or commercial clinical lab training from an approved program.
Experience with a variety of laboratory tests and procedures across multiple specialties.
Proficient with laboratory computer systems, Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
Capable of troubleshooting instruments and systems, maintaining quality control.
Excellent record-keeping and problem-solving skills.
