This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.As a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal at Goodwin, you will have the opportunity to work with attorneys on public and private M&A transactions of all types in the real estate sector, including large-scale strategic public company M&A in all asset classes, buy-side and sell-side leveraged buyouts, management-led buyouts, strategic large-scale portfolio acquisitions, and special committee representation. At Goodwin, you will be able to make an impact and help some of the many clients who rely on the expertise we have developed over decades of structuring these complicated transactions and navigating the wide range of issues that arise.What You Will Do:Reviews title commitments, title exception documents, and surveysPrepares title and survey summariesCommunicates with attorneys and title agents regarding title issues and assisting with the negotiation of title insurance policy coverage.Assists with diligence on commercial real estate closings and conducting research on property through, and obtaining documents from various Registries of Deeds and the Land Court, as applicableAssists with transactions including drafting and compiling transaction documents, forming corporate entities, preparing closing checklists and tracking completion of checklist items; and, preparing closing bindersWho You Are:Bachelor's degree7+ years of experience working in commercial real estate with a focus on titles & survey matters requiresStrong organizational and communication skillsCapability of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyAbility to work well in a team- oriented environmentOccasional Travel 10%Environment: OfficeBenefits and MoreAt Goodwin, you will discover your next career opportunity with a rewarding compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including:Health, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insuranceRetirement & Savings PlanEmergency back-up child and adult carePaid vacation, sick time off, and holidaysProfessional development and career advancement opportunitiesEmployee recognition and reward programsEmployee wellness and assistance programsEmployee discounts and perksThis position is eligible for overtime: YesThe Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: $130,000.00 - $155,000.00
