Kelso Building Services is seeking an energetic and results-oriented  Commercial HVAC Business Development Representative to expand our presence in the commercial facilities market. This position is focused on building new client relationships, uncovering opportunities for HVAC services and projects, and partnering with organizations to improve building performance and occupant comfort. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys networking, developing business opportunities, and working with commercial customers to deliver valuable HVAC solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

Generate New Commercial Opportunities

• Identify and pursue prospective customers across commercial and industrial markets.
• Develop business through networking, referrals, prospecting activities, and relationship-building efforts.
• Create and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Schedule meetings and presentations with decision-makers, facility leaders, and property stakeholders.

Develop Customer Relationships

• Build meaningful relationships with property managers, facility directors, business owners, and commercial customers.
• Learn about customer goals, operational challenges, and building system concerns.
• Serve as a trusted resource throughout the sales process.
• Maintain regular communication to support long-term client partnerships.

Recommend HVAC Solutions

• Evaluate customer needs and identify opportunities for maintenance, repair, retrofit, and replacement solutions.
• Present options that improve system performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and budget management.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure recommendations align with project requirements.
• Clearly communicate the advantages and value of proposed solutions.

Create Proposals and Sales Strategies

• Prepare service agreements, project proposals, and pricing packages tailored to customer objectives.
• Assist customers through the review and decision-making process.
• Track progress of opportunities and maintain accurate records within CRM systems.
• Negotiate and close agreements that support company growth objectives.

Collaborate with Internal Teams

• Partner with operations, estimating, service, and installation departments to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure accurate communication of customer expectations and project details.
• Help create a seamless experience from initial contact through project completion.

Achieve Growth Targets

• Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
• Monitor business development activity and sales metrics.
• Adjust strategies to maximize market penetration and account growth.
• Contribute to the overall growth of the organization.

Market Awareness

• Stay informed on commercial HVAC technologies, building efficiency trends, and industry developments.
• Monitor local market conditions and competitive activity.
• Identify emerging opportunities within target industries and customer segments.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in business development, commercial sales, HVAC sales, mechanical services, facilities services, or a related B2B environment.
• Understanding of commercial HVAC equipment, preventative maintenance programs, or building mechanical systems.
• Strong prospecting, relationship management, and closing skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams.
• Experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships and generate new business opportunities.
