RN Intermediate Care Unit

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Night shift provides skilled nursing care to patients requiring intermediate or progressive care. This role involves patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care. The RN must hold a current Oregon RN license and possess recent acute care or intermediate care experience. Strong clinical skills and effective communication are essential for success in this fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical data.
• Assist with patient transfers and discharges as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within the past 5 years.
• Less than 1 year to recent experience in acute care hospital or intermediate/progressive care setting preferred.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

• Experience in intermediate or progressive care units.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Night shift position requiring adaptability to overnight work hours.
• Work environment includes acute care hospital setting with potential for patient acuity fluctuations.
• May be required to lift patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.

• Night shift schedule in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
• Shift assignments determined by department needs and staffing requirements.
