What You'll Do

• Provide emergency nursing care for a diverse patient population, including infants to end-of-life adults
• Manage patients with acuity levels ranging from MedSurg to ICU, including trauma stabilization and interventional procedures
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, manage ventilators and critical care drips/titrations
• Assist with stroke interventions, seizure management, and other complex emergent conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, ED physicians, and RTs
• Adhere to protocols for patient safety, documentation, and quality care standards
• Support unit functions such as charting using EMR (Meditech Expanse) and medication dispensing

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, and ICU procedures

Preferred:

• Experience with stroke protocols and critical care drips
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
