What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including neonatal to geriatric patients
• Manage and monitor approximately 85-95 patients daily with a patient-to-RN ratio of 1:3
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and rapid assessment of patient severity
• Use EMR system (Meditech Expanse) to accurately document patient care
• Support clinical team efforts in patient assessment and intervention
• Assist with minor traumas, respiratory distress, diabetic emergencies, stroke response, and cardiac events
• Collaborate with hospitalists, RTs, and phlebotomy staff as needed

What You Need

• Required: Valid RN license in Louisiana, BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, CPI or MOAB certification, at least 2 years of recent ED experience
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
• Strong multitasking skills, proficiency in patient assessment, and experience with Meditech Expanse

Preferred: Experience working in high-volume EDs, ability to work flexible schedules, previous travel RN experience
