Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical ICU

Schedule: Shift: 3x12-hour days - Weekend coverage: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period

Assignment Details: Orientation: 36 hours

Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred; Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; Patient-ratio experience: 23 patients; Charting experience: Epic; Travel experience required; Previous charge experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a medical-surgical ICU setting. Manage and monitor patients with critical medical and surgical conditions, including post-operative care. Administer medications and IV therapy, including blood products and vasoactive drips. Perform interventions including ventilator management, arterial and central line management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Compliance / Notes: State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal; "license hit" not accepted. Requested time off (RTO) must be listed at the time of submittal. Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler. Onboarding: core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Orientation modules: completed onsite; RN modules approximately 46 hours (non-billable).
