Senior Accountant

Description Our well-established and long-time family office and private family foundation in Boise, Idaho is searching for a Senior Accountant. In this role you will be responsible for financial reporting for our multiple-entity organization. You will maintain accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and perform a full range of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, accounts payable, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting support, and assist with cash and investment management. This is a lead departmental role without direct supervisory responsibilities. In the role, you will work closely with the accounting team and senior management of the organization. Ability to build positive working relationships Highly organized and attentive to detail, producing thorough, quality work Ability to work individually, critically evaluate and execute process improvements and work as part of a team including leading special projects Ability to take direction, anticipate next steps, adapt approach Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely, objective and confidential manner; uses logic and good judgment to reach solutions Ability to effectively prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and meet deadlines Ability to work with and maintain confidential information Technical Skills – PC excellence, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, ability to learn and administer new technology, Sage Intacct, and financial report writing experience.
