Accounting Assistant (Accountant I)

Position: Full timeSchedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am- 5:00pm, Friday: 8:30am-4:00pmHybrid Work: Remote 3-4 days, 1-2 days on site each weekDuties and Responsibilities:Enter and verify vendor invoices and customer payments in the accounting system.Process routine accounting transactions accurately and timely.Apply customer payments and support daily cash reconciliation activities.Reconcile customer accounts, vendor statements, and general accounting records.Research and resolve basic discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.Generate invoices, statements, and routine accounting reports.Maintain accounting documentation and filing systems.Assist with month-end reconciliation and closing tasks.Respond to routine inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal departments.Provide administrative and clerical support to the Accounting Department.Cross-train and provide backup support for AP and AR functions.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Requirements:Associate or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1+ years of experience in accounting department preferredStrong communication and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Detail oriented, punctual, organized, problem solver with multi-task abilitiesBenefitsFirst day of employment includes Medical, Vision, Dental plans, FSA, HSA, basic life insurance, EAP, tuition assistance, and Wellness Programs401(k) saving plan: with employer matchPaid Time off (PTO)Paid HolidayIncentive / Bonus plan after three months of employment #J-18808-Ljbffr Zephyr
