Head of Artificial Intelligence

A leading financial services firm is seeking a Director, Head of AI to lead the development and delivery of its AI strategy across Asset Management. This is a senior leadership role focused on embedding AI into investment workflows, improving decision‑making, strengthening data governance and building scalable AI capabilities across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with Investment, Product, Distribution, Technology, Risk and Compliance teams to identify high‑impact opportunities and deliver measurable business value. Key Responsibilities Define and lead the AI strategy across Asset Management Identify high-value AI use cases across investment, product, distribution and operational teams Partner with Technology to build scalable AI platforms, tools and enterprise capabilities Establish responsible AI governance frameworks across compliance, risk, data ethics and regulatory oversight Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders across the business Embed AI into investment workflows, research processes and portfolio decision‑making Support investment teams with AI‑driven research, analytics and automation tools Deploy AI assistants and workflow automation to improve productivity and reduce manual processes Improve data quality, accessibility and governance across the organisation Strengthen compliance, risk detection and business insight through better use of data and AI Drive enterprise‑wide AI adoption, enablement and training Collaborate with Product teams to support the development of next‑generation investment solutions Experience Required Senior leadership experience in AI, digital transformation, technology strategy or data‑driven innovation Experience within asset management, investments or broader financial services is strongly preferred Strong understanding of investment workflows, portfolio management, investment research and product development Deep knowledge of Generative AI, Agentic AI, data platforms and enterprise AI architecture Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional transformation initiatives Strong governance, risk and compliance mindset Good understanding of responsible AI, data ethics and regulatory expectations Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate strategically while driving practical implementation and measurable outcomes Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, with advanced degrees preferred Track record of delivering successful AI initiatives in complex or regulated environments The Opportunity This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high‑profile AI mandate within a sophisticated asset management environment.
