Senior Billing Specialist

Our client is a professional services firm. They seek a Senior Billing Specialist to join their Manhattan, NY office.ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end billing process, including invoice preparation, review, submission, and follow-up to ensure timely and accurate client billingReview billing data, time entries, expenses, and client agreements to ensure compliance with billing requirements and contractual termsPrepare complex invoices, billing reports, and analyses while resolving discrepancies and client billing issuesPartner with attorneys, project teams, finance, and clients to address billing inquiries and improve collection processesMonitor accounts receivable balances, aging reports, and outstanding invoices while supporting collection effortsMaintain billing records, client documentation, and reporting schedules to support month-end close and financial reportingIdentify process improvements, enhance billing workflows, and support automation initiatives to increase efficiencyAssist with audits, financial reporting requests, and special projects related to revenue operations and billing functionsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred5+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or revenue operations experience, preferably within a professional services, legal, consulting, or financial services environmentStrong understanding of billing processes, client invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable practicesExperience managing complex billing arrangements, including hourly, fixed-fee, milestone, or contract-based billing structuresProficiency with billing and accounting systems such as Elite, Aderant, Intapp, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platformsAdvanced Excel skills with experience analyzing billing data, reconciliations, and reporting metricsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume billing activity and competing deadlinesExcellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external clientsTagged as: In-OfficeDate Posted:Posted on August 3, 2026Location:New York, NY, USAJob Title:Senior Billing SpecialistSalary:$90,000 - $110,000
