Business Development Representative
Join a well-established transportation and logistics provider serving the NYC and NJ metro market. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the sales function and build your own book of business, backed by robust operational support and direct access to company leadership. If you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and want to make a visible impact, this role offers both autonomy and growth potential.
- Base salary in the range of $65K-$75K
- Opportunity to build and own your sales function from the ground up
- Established operational and driver capacity to support large-scale account growth
- Open territory with support from an experienced team
- Direct access to decision makers
- Comfortable representing the company in the field across the NJ/NYC metro area
- Self-starter who excels with autonomy and ownership
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close
- Strong drive to build a book of business from scratch
- Experience in industrial, freight, or logistics sales is a plus
- Prior success in outside or field sales roles
- Track record of hunting and generating new accounts
- Prospect and generate new freight, warehousing, and distribution accounts in the NYC and NJ market
- Build relationships with customer decision-makers and close new business
- Represent the company's core services: retail pool distribution, small package delivery, LTL, full truckload, and warehousing
- Manage your sales pipeline, account status, and market feedback directly with ownership
- Help scale operations by capitalizing on newly available customer capacity
