Sr. Account Manager (Distribution Sales)

Our client, Japanese Electronics manufacturing company, is seeking an Sr. Account Manager (Distribution Sales) in the Schaumburg area with 5-7years of electronics or OEM sales experience. Sr. Account Manager (Distribution Sales) Type: Full Time Direct Hire Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, prepare quotes, and follow up with customers. Develop and execute sales plans to meet targets, KPIs, and company objectives. Support major distributors to achieve sales plans Handle technical presentations, product details, and designs Build strong, long-term customer partnerships through regular visits and communication. Collaborate with engineering, technical support, manufacturing, distributors, and supply chain teams. Track market trends and competitor activities; share insights with management. Drive annual business planning discussions, performance sales reviews. Including product presentations Prepare accurate sales forecasts, report, and maintain internal systems. Handle compliance with pricing policy Support international sales efforts in coordination with global teams. Promote new products through presentations, training, and customer events. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 5–7 years of sales experience. Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Strong understanding of channel sales strategies and distributor business objectives Interest or background in electronics/engineering or OEM background Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for customer visits. Knowledge of project management and international business.
