Behavior Specialist Position AvailablePosition is available beginning at the start of the 2026-2027 school yearMust hold a valid BCBA or LBS license.Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PSERS, 403(b), flexible spending program, and Life Insurance effective first teacher work day of the 2026-2027 school year.Position Title: Behavior SpecialistType: Professional EmployeeWork Year: Teacher Work YearPosition Summary:The Behavioral Specialist conducts functional behavior assessments and will write positive behavior support plans. Will work with building level Core Teams to provide consultation and direct supports within the MTSS framework. Responsible for generating and implementing programs to remediate behavioral and social problems for students Will train and supervise associated personnel.Qualifications:Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA), or eligibility for certification, Master's Degree from an institution that specializes in the training of Behavioral Intervention Specialist. Must also have experience working with students on the autism spectrum and students with emotional/behavioral needs.Duties and Responsibilities:Participate as a Core Team member in the intervention of social/behavioral problems within an MTSS frameworkDesign, implement, and monitor positive behavioral support plans for students to remediate behavioral and social problems.Plan and confer with the classroom teachers of these students as requested concerning any behavioral, social, or personal problems affecting the students.Consult with staff on possible referrals for behavioral assessments and intervention.Conduct direct observations, data collection and clinical interviews.Train or assist in training of staff in data collection procedures.Analyze data to empirically derive function(s) of behaviors.Graph data for presentation and inclusion in functional analysis assessment reports and IEP progress monitoring.Train staff on the implementation of behavioral intervention strategies.Provide ongoing staff observation and feedback related to treatment integrity.Engage in data-based decision making and modify behavioral intervention plans as needed.Monitor timelines for the preparation of the behavioral assessment and intervention team.Assist with the development and documentation of the intervention process.Monitor the progress of behavioral intervention plans to ensure success for the student.Participate in consultations regarding inclusion of students with disabilities and in in IEP meetings.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.The position holder must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
