About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry - Order Processing Specialist to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering and processing customer orders while ensuring that all data is up-to-date and error-free. You will play a crucial part in maintaining smooth operations and contributing to our overall customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately enter and update customer orders into the company’s database, ensuring completeness and correctness of all entries.
- Review incoming orders for accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve order-related inquiries and issues.
- Maintain organized records of orders, customer interactions, and any correspondence to ensure efficient tracking and follow-up.
- Generate reports as needed to analyze order trends, processing times, and potential areas for improvement in order processing workflows.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to data entry standards and confidentiality protocols.
Requirements
- Proficiency in data entry with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling large volumes of information.
- Familiarity with order processing systems and databases, including experience using software tools for data entry and order management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers.
- Problem-solving abilities to identify and address order discrepancies quickly and effectively.
- Basic understanding of spreadsheet and word processing software to facilitate data management and reporting tasks.
