Member Services Representative

*Position Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused *Member Services Representative* to join a fast-paced healthcare support environment. In this role, you will act as a primary point of contact for members, providers, and health plans-helping to coordinate care and ensure a seamless healthcare experience. This position begins within a call queue environment, where you will manage inbound calls from members, collect detailed information, and route requests to the appropriate departments. Accuracy, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer service are essential to success in this role. *Key Responsibilities* * Serve as the primary liaison between members, providers, and health plans * Handle inbound calls and respond to inquiries related to: * Claims * Referrals * Eligibility * Accurately document member interactions and capture detailed messages * Route inquiries and requests to appropriate internal departments * Support coordination of care to ensure timely and efficient service delivery * Maintain professionalism and provide an exceptional member experience in every interaction *Required Skills* * Call center experience * Strong customer service skills * Familiarity with medical records and patient care processes * Insurance verification knowledge * Ability to provide administrative and care support *Top Skills* * Customer service * Call center operations * Medical records management * Patient care understanding * Insurance verification *Qualifications* *Experience:* * Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience (healthcare industry preferred) *Knowledge of:* * Referrals * Prior authorizations * Medical billing * Patient intake processes * Insurance verification * Care coordination *Soft Skills* * Professional and pleasant phone presence * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
