Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations through initial consultations and follow-ups, ensuring comprehensive documentation from start to finish.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that encompass targeted interventions tailored for individuals, couples, families, and diverse groups based on assessed needs.

• Facilitating engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques grounded in evidence-based psychology.
\n
• Monitoring progress and adapting treatment strategies as necessary, ensuring that clients receive continuous support tailored to their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including social workers and psychiatrists, for a comprehensive care approach.
\n
• Maintaining regular follow-ups with external healthcare providers as necessary, particularly for clients requiring hospitalization and further psychiatric care.
\n
• Identifying barriers to recovery, providing education and guidance to clients and their families, and fostering a supportive environment for addressing mental and behavioral challenges.

• Assisting families in navigating emotional difficulties to enhance their overall support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will primarily work with a diverse clientele in various life stages and circumstances, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. You will provide culturally sensitive and effective care, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, particularly for those who may face additional challenges related to socioeconomic and cultural factors.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• Holds current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
\n
• Must have obtained passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in technology and electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• In-depth understanding of mental health conditions, as well as physical health issues, addiction disorders, and the appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by a strong empathetic nature.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience delivering mental health counseling, especially in a telehealth or remote environment.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• A thorough understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications for mental health counseling and treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
