This hands-on role is perfect for someone with manual lathe experience who enjoys precision work, repairs, and steady hours in a stable shop environment. Location: Blaine, MN Hours: Monday – Friday | 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Alternative 7:00 am – 3:30 pm schedule available Monday – Thursday)Pay: $30 - $36/hr., depending on qualificationsBenefits of the manual machinist:Health and dental insurance with full benefits packagePaid holidays and vacation time401K with company matchStable shop with long-term customersFriendly team environmentRoom for advancementDuties of the manual machinist:Repair steel or aluminum cores using manual lathesReview blueprints and job orders to determine tooling and cutting instructionsCalculate machine speed, feed ratios, and the size/position of cutsMount, install, align, and secure tooling using hand tools and precision equipmentMeasure parts accurately with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring toolsRequirements of the manual machinist:3+ years of machinist experience (with at least 2-3 years specific to manual lathes)Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in blueprint readingExperience with precision measuring tools and machine setups; welding is a plusSteel-toed boots or shoes are requiredAdditional information: Apply today!
