Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Hamden, Connecticut

Step into a pivotal role supporting advanced cardiovascular care as an Invasive Technologist in a dynamic cardiac cath lab environment. This position offers a 17-week contract with opportunities to make a meaningful impact alongside skilled healthcare professionals.


Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• On-call rotation every other weekend and every third weekend
• Additional on-call responsibilities for two weekdays per week

Qualifications:

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active RT(R) or RCIS credential
• Previous experience in a cardiac cath lab or invasive cardiovascular imaging strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of imaging equipment, sterile technique, and cardiovascular anatomy
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate imaging equipment and assist with invasive cardiac procedures
• Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Adhere to strict protocols for patient safety, infection prevention, and equipment maintenance
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures and respond to urgent situations as needed
• Document procedures accurately and collaborate with clinical teams for optimal workflow
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities to maintain best practices
