Global employer in the CPG industry, this is a hybrid role based out of a prestigious Broomfield, CO office.

Job Description

As Legal Counsel - Employment Counsel you will handle varied matters including:

• Provide legal guidance on employment law matters, including hiring, terminations, compensation, and workplace policies.
• Draft, review, and update employment agreements and other related documentation and contracts.
• Advise HR and management teams on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Support the company in litigation and disputes related to employment matters.
• Conduct training sessions on employment law topics for HR and management teams.
• Monitor and analyze new legislation and regulations affecting labor and employment law compliance.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed for complex cases or specialized legal matters.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Legal Counsel - Employment Law should have:

• JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Admission in good standing from at least one U.S. State Bar.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• At least 5 years experience practicing employee relations, compliance, and workplace investigations (private practice, in-house, or combined across both settings).
• Ability to provide clear, practical, and business-oriented legal advice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with HR and management teams.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
