Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Antioch, TN

This contract position provides the opportunity to work closely 1:1 with a student in early elementary, ensuring access and inclusion in every aspect of the school day. Qualifications and Desired Experience: EIPA score of at least 3.5 (required) Experience interpreting in school or educational settings Ability to skillfully provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation Relevant certifications preferred Strong communication and collaborative skills Passion for supporting students with unique learning needs Professionalism, reliability, and flexibility Key Responsibilities: Deliver accurate, effective sign language interpretation for a student in an early elementary classroom Facilitate communication between student, teachers, peers, and staff Adapt interpretation methods to suit changing instructional settings and student needs Partner with school psychologists, educators, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom experience Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards Attend team meetings and contribute insights to support student progress This role offers a meaningful way to help students thrive while working within a supportive community. The schedule runs from August 10th, 2026 to May 26th, 2027, with a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week, onsite only.
