Temporary Welder - Contingent Worker Summary: Worker from an agency - Temporary. Responsibilities of the Temporary Welder include, but are not limited to: Mig and flux-cored welding Carbon steel, steel, and stainless-steel welding Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job Plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts Builds up worn or defective surfaces Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly Qualifications of the Temporary Welder include, but are not limited to: 5 years of welding experience Familiar with iron worker, plasma cutter, pipe threader, and grinders Background check, physical, and drug test required Additional Information: Physical Demand: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Working Conditions: Shop environment Training/Certifications: Welding certificate Shift Time/Overtime: Day Shift, Monday through Friday 6am to 5pm.
