About the Role

The Company is in need of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the education industry. The CFO will be responsible for all fiscal and business functions, including driving financial strategy, maintaining governance, and ensuring internal controls and asset protection. This executive role involves building and maintaining annual operating budgets, overseeing full-cycle AP/AR operations, and ensuring GAAP compliance. The successful candidate will also be tasked with managing state and accreditation reporting, supervising the Business Office team, and engaging with external auditors for financial statement and IRS filings. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' of experience, with a focus on non-profit financial management. The role requires a CPA with a minimum of 1 year of experience and at least 3 years of experience in a non-profit setting. Key skills include month-end close, leadership, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The CFO will also be involved in tax planning, and must have a strong background in reconciliation, general ledger, and board/investor reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial planning, and be adept at managing legal counsel relationships, corporate insurance policies, and vendor contracts.
