Physical Therapist II

Job Description This position is for Outpatient Rehabilitation. The role involves evaluating or screening clients after impairment, injury, or disease and designing individualized physical therapy treatment programs. Interventions may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, functional retraining, thermal and electric modalities, gait training, and other skills. The clinician re‑evaluates clients to determine effectiveness of interventions and contributes to discharge planning. Responsibilities Evaluate patients after impairment, injury, or disease. Create individualized treatment plans and select appropriate evidence‑based interventions. Re‑evaluate and provide periodic reassessment of patient progress. Supervise treatment provided by students, technicians, and physical therapy assistants. Participate in the interdisciplinary health care team and recommend client care interventions. Delegate and instruct supportive personnel in services to be provided. Serve as a clinical resource for the department and coordinate the student program. Support weekend rotations (about two weekend shifts in an eight‑week period). Provide timely documentation per department, entity policy, insurance provider and licensing requirements. Use professional judgment to ensure safety for self, patients, and others at all times. Complete at least one department‑level project. Participate in quality initiatives. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience as a physical therapist licensed by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. Bachelor’s degree. Lymphedema certification (required). Availability to work lymphedema 2 days per week and orthopedics/neuro 3 days per week. Job Details Full time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with flexibility.
