Surgical Technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical technologists work under the supervision of the surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. Ensures that the operating room environment is safe, the equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology Program. Coursework/Training: Obtains 6 CEUs per year. Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of Operating room experience.
