Make a positive impact on students’ lives as a Personal Care Assistant Substitute supporting school communities near Providence, RI. In this per diem, as-needed role, you’ll have the opportunity to work within classrooms or alongside individual students, helping them achieve academic and personal growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support to students as directed by classroom staff
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior intervention plans and follow IEPs when applicable
• Support academic, behavioral, social, and mobility needs of students
• Ensure a safe and welcoming learning space for all
• Aid with personal care support and supervision as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to meet district TB test requirements
• Capability to stand, walk, and assist students with lifting if required
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT helpful but not required
• Reliable, compassionate, and collaborative approach
