Position Overview

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Radiant Relief for Psychological Services, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional outpatient therapy to a diverse population of clients in Schenectady, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for each client, implementing evidence-based therapy techniques that align with their unique needs.
• Utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address various mental health challenges, specifically focusing on mood disorders.
• Maintain accurate client records, ensuring compliance with both ethical standards and state regulations, while leveraging our practice management software to streamline documentation and scheduling.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to coordinate care effectively, ensuring holistic treatment for every client.
• Engage in community outreach projects aimed at reducing stigma around mental health issues, increasing awareness, and providing educational resources to the local population.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and related challenges. Clients will range from adolescents to adults, each presenting unique circumstances and backgrounds. A deep understanding of cultural sensitivity and the ability to establish rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds will be essential in fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Experience with evidence-based practices and treatment modalities, particularly for mood disorders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to create an empathetic and supportive environment for clients.
• A track record of successful therapeutic outcomes and a passion for promoting mental health awareness within the community.

Preferred Experience
