Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed mental health assessments to accurately gauge patients' needs, thereby crafting tailored treatment plans that align with individual goals. Provide therapeutic interventions using widely recognized modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for diverse patient scenarios, including individual, couple, and family therapy. Lead psychoeducational groups and peer support sessions that foster community and facilitate discussions on common mental health issues. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, enhancing treatment efficacy. Deliver crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, guiding patients toward appropriate resources in times of immediate need. Educate patients on mental health challenges, effective treatment options, and important community resources available to them. Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient case management. Actively engage in professional development through case consultations and team meetings, remaining abreast of advancements in the mental health field. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice serves a diverse client base dealing with various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. A strong focus is placed on fostering inclusive care that acknowledges the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual, thus promoting a supportive environment for healing and growth. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required. Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York. Proven ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments and formulate effective treatment strategies. Experience in providing both individual and group therapy to varied populations. Proficiency with electronic health record systems and relevant computer software needed for documentation and communication. Preferred Experience Prior experience working in an outpatient setting is preferred. Familiarity with community resources and referral processes is advantageous. Experience using telehealth platforms to deliver therapy services may be beneficial.
