The HR Assistant supports full-cycle recruiting and general HR activities, high-volume hiring, and workforce development. This role manages the hiring process from sourcing to offer, provides a positive candidate experience, and contributes to building a strong talent pipeline in a fast-paced, growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews and manage candidate communications in both English and Spanish, ensuring clear, professional, and timely interactions.
- Source applicants through job boards, community partnerships, referrals, and targeted outreach efforts to support ongoing staffing needs.
- Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and community programs to promote open positions and attract qualified talent.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supervisors to understand current and future staffing requirements.
- Manage the full hiring process from application to offer, including screening, interviewing, coordinating feedback, and extending offers with timely follow-up.
- Support new hires through onboarding by coordinating paperwork, assisting with orientation, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking and documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.
- Assist with translating HR documents, internal communications, and training materials between English and Spanish as needed.
- Provide a positive and professional experience for all candidates throughout the recruiting and hiring process.
- Contribute to workforce development initiatives and help strengthen the talent pipeline, particularly for high-volume and manufacturing roles.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring teams to prioritize multiple open roles and meet hiring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel locally as needed to attend recruiting events, visit partner organizations, and support on-site hiring activities.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, including full-cycle recruiting responsibilities.
- 1–2 years of general human resources experience.
- Demonstrated experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a focus on high-volume and manufacturing-related hiring. The HR Assistant works with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office tools, and other standard HR technologies to manage recruiting activities and documentation. The role involves a mix of office-based work, virtual communication, and local travel to job fairs, hiring events, and community programs. The organization offers a contract-to-hire structure that provides a long-term opportunity with room for professional growth as the company continues to expand. Professional attire is expected when representing the organization at events and during candidate-facing activities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
