About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Fort Smith, Arkansas, 72903!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Current RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: To ensure patient safety, it is mandatory that all licensed staff who provide direct patient care pass a medication and math competency test before assuming medication administration responsibilities. This exam will cover knowledge of the actions and side effects of commonly used drugs along with math regarding correct dosages and IV problems. The passing grade on this exam is 90%, and it may be repeated one time. Failure to pass the retake may result in termination of employment. Description: The role involves working in a mixed unit primarily caring for medical patients. Candidates should have experience in neuro surgery and cardiovascular surgery. Must be team-oriented and possess a positive attitude. Preferred skills include CCRN/SCRN and experience with open heart recovery and continuous renal replacement therapy. The patient care environment includes 38 beds with patient ratios of 2-3:1. Equipment used may include CRRT, vents, and hemodynamics monitoring. This position does not require call and has a commitment to weekend hours every other weekend. The facility values compassionate care and a commitment to exceptional service.
